Grade 6
Angles-2/3
- Lesson Aims
The pupils will construct a circle using the measuring tool and marking dots at equal distances.
- Name of Model
Circle.
- Lesson Structure
Mouse and circle.
- Lesson Content
This is the second lesson in learning the concept of angle as a measure of a rotation. The following lesson will make use of the mouse and circle of the the two previous lessons to fully understand the dynamic approach of folding in order to see the formation of an angle as a process of rotation. It is suggested that the pupils make several circles.

Introduction to Visual Representation of Angles-1/3
- Lesson Aims
The first lesson for the learning of the concept of angle using the mouse shaped made in the lesson as an aide.
- Name of Model
A mouse.
- Lesson Structure
The mouse, circle and angle as a measure of rotation.
- Lesson Content
This lesson is the first of three lessons teaching the concept of angle. Through the folding process the pupils have a dynamic experience of this concept. The idea of measure of rotation as a method of understanding the concept of angle is applied with moving the mouse shape clockwise. This method and definition of an angle as a measure of rotation is understood while creating the angle by the rotational movement. Two mice are folded-one to take home and the other for the next lesson on the subject of angle.

- Lesson Structure
Mouse, circle and the visualization of the mouse rotation on the circle.
- Lesson Content
This lesson is the 3rd activity demonstrating the concept of angle as measure of rotation.
- Materials

Polygon activity 3 decomposition and composition 1/2
- Lesson Aims
The pupils during the folding process will identify polygons according to stated properties. The pupils will learn how to form different polygons with their sheets and investigate the various properties of the folded shapes.
- Model Name
Polygon activity 3 decomposition and composition 1/2
- Lesson structure
- Lesson content
The decomposing and composing activities allow the children to create various polygons during the folding process and with the combination of several triangular folded shapes. With a series of questions and answers during the folding process the pupils are able to deepen their geometric reasoning in a dynamic environment.
- Prior knowledge
.Concepts of sides and vertices in polygon, Parallels side

- Lesson content
In this lesson the pupils investigate polygons that are formed during the folding process. There is a surprise at the end of the lesson. The pupils learn new concepts and refresh their previous learning.
- Prior knowledge
If during the folding process there are cases of inexact folding by some of the pupils, then these cases will be used to identify differences between the polygons and their properties. The pupils will also learn the concept of polygon sides and vertices.
